though the second half of the quote is completely irrelevant to my situation (please disregard it), i do have to wholly agree with the first half of it. exercise really does bring happiness... to me at least. i accomplished something BIG (as far as my recovery goes) yesterday. i exercised. and i don't mean the casual hikes that i have been participating in all summer. i actually felt well enough to go to the gym... for the first time since june. and it felt wonderful.
i was reminded of what it feels like to be an athlete, and i experienced the full-on sweating situation for the first time in a long time. i love pilates.
today, my body is so very sore. and for this, i am grateful.
