word on the street is...

even president o. is talking about him!
señor fredette kept it real in denver tonight and helped our cougs through the first round against the (woof woof) wofford terriers.
now all i want to know how to do is...
JIMMER

and pray he keeps on racking up the points!

my achy breaky heart.

i love my nuggets.
this is a commonly-known fact.
but if any of you know me really well, you know that i have a thing for mister chauncey billups.
he's been my favorite nugget for some time now; i've been impressed with his teamwork and skill.
plus, he's a colorado native! what's better than that?!
so you can imagine my horror/disappointment when i heard how he got roped into melo's trade earlier in the week.
melo's been dead to me for some time now (too much drama for one season), but why did he have to pull chauncey into it?!

oh well, my love for señor billups remains.
i'm really not ready to retire his denver jersey; he'll forever be a nugget to me!
chauncey

oh, and another reason to be mad at melo: he took balkman away from me, too. though balkman never got any playing time, he had dreads, and i think he's awesome. what are they going to do with the "balkman's buddies" section of the pepsi center now, eh?

despite the fact that we lost half of our team, my (old & new) boys pulled out a win against the celtics tonight. that's right, the celtics!!!
things are looking up. even without my two favorite nuggies...

so long, mr. bigshot...

chaos.

chaos
do you know what went down in the marriott center on byu campus last night?

well, as mister kevin durant puts it, "jimmer fredette is the best scorer in the world!"

and my whole family was there to witness it.

so, so good.

details to come soon.

fredette fever.

so here in provo, winters would be unbearably bleak, if it weren't for one thing...
BYU BASKETBALL.
mr. jimmer fredette is the new (okay, not so new) campus craze, so much so that it now takes hours to get a guaranteed seat in the student section... and that's the day before the game.
the student section is always jam packed and reminiscent of a duke-type scenario, and the campouts to get good seats are really common occurrences these days.
some boys even brave the utah cold to camp out every night through the season to ensure perfect seats for each home game!
so why does byu deserve this fan base? wellll, they're ranked #9.

and they've got a chance to move up tomorrow when they play #4 sdsu... big game!

i love going to the games with the crew because a) the environment is so much fun and b) they hand out free xl tees!

huzzah for basketball season!

today...

i hung out with my parents, who had flown into town for the evening (they're the best!)
i went to the byu vs. usu basketball game.
i wrote a letter.
i had a really, really hard time focusing in chemistry and in spanish.
i was indeed very tired.
i had pink eye (and thus, wore my glasses all day).
i was very thankful for my friends.
i ate cafe rio's delicious sweet pork.
i did very little homework.
i felt quite sad that my tonsils hurt so much.
i booked another little shoot.
i was happy that it wasn't too horribly cold out.
i dozed off a little.

i'm now looking forward to tomorrow.
my cubana finally comes to visit utah!

it's kinda cool that life is full of tomorrows, you know?
it's a chance for all of the negatives maybe leave me alone, for a sec.

orlando loses their magic touch.

tonight, i spent the evening with mr. big shot, melo, k mart, j.r., birdman, and co. as they took on the orlando magic.
after a close first half, denver came back reenergized and won 115-97.
not only does this bring lots of smiles (and fist pumps) to the gleave clan, it also mean 4 tacos for 1$ for us coloradans!
i had an excellent time at the game; i even wore an oversize jersey in support of the thuggets!
(well, that, and then there's the minor detail that my little brother's clothes are at least two sizes bigger than mine are...)
i would say nikita enjoyed herself, as well...my zoom lens=fantastic!
t'was a great evening.
viva los nuggets!
