i'll always love these guys.

i'm never not in the mood to listen to them.

and the whole concept of a takeaway show? forever obsessed. 

plus, they're from denver, so i've got some serious hometown pride.

what can i say?

i'm smitten with the lumineers. 

the head & the heart in SLC.

maybe one of your top-four favorite bands of all time came to salt lake city this september. 

so maybe you, and one of your mejor amigas just had to go.  

maybe you were "as sick as a dog," but this was the one thing that got you out of bed for the weekend.

and you stopped at chipotle on the way to the city, which is always a positive.

and maybe these guys opened, and they were really good.

and then said favorite band finally came on,

and they blew you away. 

and maybe you spent the night singing and swooning and screaming.

and a friend got the set list, so you screamed some more.

and maybe you just might have been geeking out ever since

and have rewatched those little videos you took on your iphone over and over again.

and now, maybe you're more obsessed than ever. 

really though, this band is really beautiful

this is my friend matthew.

he's a pretty incredible musician.
he had a record deal at some crazy age like fourteen,
and now he's doing the solo thing,
and i'm a huge fan of his work.
plus, he's literally the nicest kid on the planet!

and last week, i had the opportunity to watch him play a cozy little acoustic show at the velour. 

you should probably listen to his music and check out his facebook page and stuff.

today, that got me thinking of past explorations...

and what i wouldn't give to be back on the streets of paris,

with my camera in hand, 

with jumbled attempts at french escaping my lips,

and with a heart so full of happiness.

i can't wait to go back someday.

last weekend, mister matt costa came to provo to perform at the wilk. 

he played this and this and this and sounded great.
we braved a near blizzard to make it to the concert... and it was definitely worth it. 

after the show, we hit up in-n-out for burgers and fries 

and headed to an after party. 

it was so fun to listen to some live music and catch up with old friends...

yep.

the music scene in provo is blowing up this weekend.

first, we shared tacos on friday night with the one-and-only b money. 

then, we downloaded the "i am t-pain" app and turned our favorite asian into a rap star.
then, mr. matt costa came to sing at byu... i know, i know. to PROVO.

and then, i was reminded of this little gem by my dear friend mckay.
