rikki + erik: engagements, part one {salt lake city wedding photography}.

you know you love your job when despite a hectic week of midterms leading to utter exhaustion, the forty-degree weather, and your cozy bed that you haven't spent nearly enough time in lately, you are up before nine a.m. on a saturday with a smile on your face.

and this little engagement session with rikki {spain amigas for life!} and erik reminded me of just this. 

there's something i just love about shooting in the fall. 

maybe it's the cooler temperatures,

or the autumn lighting,

or the general aesthetics of it all...

but really, i could shoot in the fall-time, day after day after day.

maybe it's time i just drop out of college and shoot wedding photos full time? ;)

anyway, here is a preview of some of these fall engagements i'm currently drooling over...

so since 2012 is the year of better blogging and all (wellll, i'm hoping!), i thought i'd buff up my photography posts a bit.

i mean, i have a lot of great photos from all of my shoots... why not show off more, right?

especially since my last shoot was so gorgeous... and fun!

welp, i had the wonderful opportunity to shoot her colorado wedding reception last month.

beth and matt went for a vintage, 1940s theme for their wedding and receptions,

and they pulled it off so well!

the night was full of mingling, dancing, and snow!

it was so dreamy.
and these two are just so much fun.
they love to laugh and snuggle up to each other... which i think is evidenced in these photos, no?

rupper wedding.

i figured it was just about time to finally blog another one of my 2011 weddings; i only have about eleven i haven't shared with you yet...

and so do you remember this darling couple?

and this excellent event from last fall? 

well their fall wedding at the salt lake city lds temple and wadley farms was just perfect.

lauren pulled off the blend of east coast prep and country flawlessly, 

and dan was just googley-eyed in love with her alllll day long. 

i loved the chance i had to be both a bridesmaid and photographer (and got an awesome workout, running around in four-inch heels all day!)

and i just love these two. thanks for letting me share your wedding day with you!
