remember when i went to salzburg, austria, & the whole town was obsessed with mozart?
wellllll, mozart is to salzburg as gaudi is to barcelona.
i really must admit, antonio gaudi was a pretty cool (slash crazy) dude.
this is gaudi's incomplete masterpiece: la sagrada familia.
it still hasn't been completed and won't be completed for a few decades to come.
gaudi felt like the masterpiece came in the various artists piecing together the cathedral over time.
i didn't get a chance to go into the cathedral (darn sinus infection!), but i heard it was modernly stunning.
but i guess that's just another excuse to head back to barcelona, no?
