we lost our little sheltie of twelve and a half years very unexpectedly today.
i really haven't felt so sad in quite some time.
anyone who knows him would tell you that jake was one of the sweetest creatures on this entire planet.
i've never known someone who was so adored by everyone who came in contact with him.
although he was just a pet, he quickly became such an important part of our family.
he was my third brother and best friend, and i will miss him every day.
though it's painful now, i'm so grateful that this little guy was part of my childhood.
he made my days full of so much more love, cheer, and snuggles than i would've otherwise ever known.
i don't know if i'll ever want to get another dog because no one can compare to my yaki soba.

I´m so sorry for your loss, Anna. These furry guys become such a huge part of the family that is really hard to say goodbye to them when their time comes. My furry girl was born in my house and I was there when she came into this world and now she is old and it scares me to death thinking about her not being here. It´s a good thing you have so many lovely memories of Jakey. He will be missed for sure. Hugs.
I'm so sorry Anna. About this time last year my dog Scout who'd been a part of the family for 13 years died. I'm sorry for the loss of your friend.
Hi. This is kind of silly, but I typed in "where is Jakey Boy" and ran across your site. We just lost our 12-year-old Golden a month ago and I'm really missing him. Your comments captured my own feelings so well, except that he was like my first born son to me instead of a brother. I'm so grateful that he was part of my life. I share your sense of loss.
