madrid masters.

when we first decided that we were going to spend our day in the caja mágica (translation: magic box), i knew that today was going to be a good one.
after class, we headed to madrid to watch the madrid masters, a professional atp tournament.
i was in heaven, even if i had to overpay for a bottle of juice.

we watched novak djokovic play some anderson fellow, and then we saw rafael nadal (of españa!) vs. marcos baghdatis.
we also might have had a little run in with mr. cristiano ronaldo (only THE most famous futbol player in all of spain).
seeing professional tennis always blows my mind, but it was exceptionally fun to be in a stadium full of spaniards as they cheered on their homeboy, nadal.
the energy was phenomenal.

seeing the world's #1 and #2 right in a row made for a pretty amazing afternoon.
and it made me miss the sport i used to play daily.
i'm looking forward to playing when i return to the states.
but until then...
vamos, rafa! vamos!
