segovia.

this past friday, we headed out to segovia for a little adventure of sorts.
segovia is a city to the northwest of madrid.
it is most well known for its ancient aqueduct, which was built by the romans waay back in the first century.
the aqueduct is pretty phenomenal. it just comes out of nowhere but spans a huge distance; it is ridiculously sturdy, as well, seeing as it has withstood a few fairly brutal natural disasters.
we had an awesome afternoon exploring the city--cathedrals, castles, churches, caves, and all.
