if you know me well, you know that i love the ocean.
thus, i was extremely excited to receive bookings in both california and oregon this past week-- two lovely coastal states.
before the beirut concert, i was given a tour of portland by a good friend.
though i spent most of the day in a bit of a haze (thanks to an early am flight), i really enjoyed my tour & got a good feel for the city.
we walked down by the river, went to powell's bookstore (the largest in the world, or so they say!), drove past voodoo donuts (no need to tempt the gluten-free girl), cruised through the different shopping areas, and simply explored the city!
unfortunately, i didn't have nikita with me the whole day, so i didn't get pictures of everything i wanted to. but at least you can still catch a glimpse of this northwestern gem.
if you ever get a chance to visit portland, do it!
i wish i had gotten to spend more time there... until next time, i guess.

I love Portland as well, it is a great city with great people and vibe. It reminds me of other great places in Oregon, like Salem.
