the pursuit.

can i tell you about one of the happiest moments of my life?
it was a bit inconsequential, a bit simple, but it was really, really perfect.
i was in northern spain, in the small coastal town of san sebastian,
with three of my close friends.
we decided to go swimming, which seemed pretty illogical considering the low temperatures of both the air and the water.
we swam all of the way out to this old, little, floating dock (admittedly the furthest i'd swam in years) that had an old diving board and water slide on it.
and we sang this and this and this at the tops of our lungs.
and danced around a bit, our lips turning purple and goosebumps covering every inch of our bodies.
the whole time, looking at this beautiful sight.
i can't really explain it; i was just so blissfully happy, for those few moments.
i felt so invigorated and alive.
and that's what it's all about, right?
thank goodness for this beautiful earth god has given us...
and the amazing people he's placed in our lives.
life is good.

here's to more of those happiest moments...

The smallest often seemingly mundane moments always end up being my favorite. Love this post. : )
